I grew up in Southern California in a religious home; but it was not until I was in my twenties that I finally understood and embraced the gospel message and became a follower of Christ. A few years later, after having the experience of teaching an adult Sunday School class, the Lord gave me a desire to teach the Bible to others full time. I left my position as a public school teacher to attend The Master’s Seminary in Los Angeles.
As much as God has blessed me by bringing me to Greeley, He has blessed me even more with a wonderful family: my wife, Kristi, and my children, David, Sarah and Jenae. We love being involved with the kids’ sports and music activities, or simply traveling and being outdoors together. I am so excited to be part of a church family that loves God and loves others. I am especially excited to be the teaching pastor of a congregation who loves to learn God’s Word. That’s how the Colossians 1:28 process happens: “Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ” (ESV).
Born & raised in Greeley, Colorado I have been blessed with a beautiful wife, Kayla, and two daughters: Kyree and Alexis I have spent two years on the foreign mission field; one in Mexico building homes for the poor, and one in Haiti drilling wells. I believe God has called me to come alongside parents in establishing and equipping the students of Grace church so that they can be used by God in the Church Body in Greeley Colorado and around the world to reach the lost and make disciples. I have recently enrolled and started taking online classes at Boyce college for a bachelors degree in Biblical studies. Boyce is the undergrad school for Southern Baptist Theological Seminary which is located in Louisville, KY.
I am an "almost native" Coloradoan--having lived all of my 54 years in Colorado, except for the first six months! God has been good to me and blessed me with a wonderful wife of 27 years, three great (grown) children and one grandson, Jayce! This is the second church fellowship I've served as facilities manager, after careers in the toy and video production industries. My employment at Grace Church is more than a "job" to me--it is a God-given mission to serve our Lord, and his people, by maintaining our beautiful campus and doing everything in my power to serve and support our ministry leaders. Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or feedback @ (970) 302-0747 or firstname.lastname@example.org. It is a joy to worship and serve alongside each of you!
I have lived in Greeley all my life and have attended Grace Church that whole time. Having grown up in Grace Church has allowed me to grow as a Christian from both the lean times and times of prosperity that a church goes through as God nurtures it. In my time in Greeley I also attended and graduated UNC with a degree in Bilingual Education. I have experience teaching students and staff in public schools and community colleges in the area. Having grown up in Grace Church and taught in the community has prepared me for serving the children's ministry at Grace thanks to Gods sovereign plan. I have also grown as a believer with some credit to my husband of 14 years and 8 year old son. I am very excited to use my background in education and my growth as a Christian to serve your children here at Grace Church. My goal and the goal of the staff here at Grace Church is to have your children gain knowledge of the Bible and have an understanding of the church body so when they are young adults they are grounded and know where to turn when the storms of life come.
